A woman I know asked me to make her a crocheted PICC line cover.
Apparently, having a PICC line is uncomfortable and having a cover for it keeps the tubes from getting caught on things. While looking for a pattern, I noticed that there are several for knitters, and only one in crochet. But none for tunisian crochet. Here’s what I made….
Tunisian crochet hook size 6.5mm
Foundation row: Ch. 32, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, yo, draw up a lp, [insert hook in next ch, yo, draw up a lp] across to end. Return.
Rows 2 – 3: TRS across, return.
Rows 4-6: TSS across, return.
Rows 6-7: TRS across, return
Rows 8-16: TSS across, return
Rows 17 – 18: TRS across, return
Rows 19 – 21: TSS across, return
Rows 22 – 23: TRS across, return
Fold the finished piece in half and sew up the sides to make it into a tube. I used mattress stitch, but you can use whatever you are comfortable with.
